So, this is a premiere: the first wad that I give 5/5.
The detailing and diligence the author put into this work is simply stunning. It's a very small map (and in fact, that's its only weak point) but has 1403 sectors (had to open it in an editor)! The sight of these ruins is unique, though there's no single new texture in it. Instead, the author retrieved the best from the standard Doom2 textures.
Gameplay is excellent, too. A good mixture of weaker and tougher enemies, calm and tricky areas and traps. But you should be careful not to run low on ammo.
I'd only wish the map was bigger or there were more maps in the wad. I'll definitely download more maps of this author.
